kris (dagger (weapons: edged))

Kris with wavy blade, 13 lok; it has a distinct greneng on the ganja. There are three notches below the telale gadjah. It has a pejetan and a sogokan. The sogokan consists of two raised parallel ridges which join a third coming down from the front of the pejetan and transforming into a single ridge, which continues down to the tip. There is a pamor. The hilt is curved into a hook with fairly intricate carving. Sperm whale ivory. Floral elements, some reminiscent of European court designs. Under the curved top a shape reminiscent of a garuda. The mendak is a simple silver cup, wide at the top and tapering towards the ganja, with simple decorative ring towards the narrower end.
