Representation of a methodist preacher with raised arms, possibly John Wesley, painted on the vertebra of a heavy horse. The hands and face are unpainted apart from details; the rest of the bone is painted in black, representing the clothing of the figure. A loop of twine at the back, presumably for suspension. Small label, handwritten and affixed to the base of the object, reads: 'Oxford Hotel, Margate, 25th May '84.'
