The ownership of this object was transferred to Nigeria’s National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) in November 2022.

A woven bag. Benin City. Circa1897. The bag has a dark brown stripe running down the middle of it, and a thickly plaited handle attached at the top. The bag has an extended woven flap.
