Connie Churcher

Connie has been working as the Digital manager at the Horniman since 2016, following twenty years in digital roles.
Connie is responsible for how the Horniman uses digital and online technologies to engage audiences, both existing and new, now and in the future. Prior to working at the Horniman, Connie worked in the creative and not-for-profit sectors for over 10 years. After stints in education and fashion, Connie moved into digital in 2006 at Creative Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for the creative industries. She managed all digital products for the business, developed a large online community and worked across multiple campaigns across film, TV, radio, fashion and advertising. Following on from this, Connie has worked for publishers, universities, Government departments and charities while at communications agency Claremont. Projects she has worked on include online campaigns to promote National Apprenticeship Week, raise the profile of STEM subjects for young women and gender equality in the law industry, to name a few. Connie has a qualification in Promotion Media and a degree in English and Women’s Studies. She is a member of the Museums Association, Arts Marketing Association and the Museums Computer Group, as well as multiple digital networks. Connie lives in South London and when not online, enjoys theatre, writing and gardening.
