Louis is the Senior Curator, Nature + Love Project and has worked at the Horniman since June 2023.
Louis is Senior Curator on the Museum’s Nature + Love project, which will transform and update our historic natural history gallery to be more inclusive and accessible, and create new areas of the gardens where our visitors can engage with nature. Louis has curated exhibitions on everything from mythical beasts to DIY practices in science and medicine, at museums including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Statens Naturhistoriske Museum in Copenhagen. He is passionate about how museums can encourage and support people to engage with the natural world and draw attention to the climate and ecological emergencies in ways that inspire positive action and change. He also has a longstanding interest in collaborations between art and science. Louis has a background in biological science (BSc) and has been awarded postgraduate qualifications in Science Communication (MSc) from Imperial College London and Interaction Design (MPhil) from the Royal College of Art.
