Climate change is increasingly becoming a major driver of migration. As extreme heat, drought, wildfires and flooding make some regions harder to inhabit, more people are leaving their homes in search of sanctuary and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Through a drop-in crafting activity, we will reflect on ways to care for our environment, our neighbours, and how we can nurture resilience in our communities.

Share your thoughts, chat with the Migration Museum team about the opening of their permanent home, and share your migration story through their migration story discs collection.

Visitor Information

• This event will take place in the Gardens. In adverse weather, it will move to the Pavilion. Please follow the signage on the day.
• This is a non-ticketed drop-in activity.
• Parents and carers will need to stay with their child while they take part in the workshop and smaller children may need some assistance.
• Food and drink are not allowed in the Pavilion.
• Please note that the Pavilion is at the top of the Gardens, accessed from our London Road entrance via a hill.
