Surrounded by the Horniman’s blossom filled gardens you’ll practice your circus skills, enjoy traditional fete games, bring your best hat and join the Easter bonnet parade, and discover more about what the natural world is getting up to in spring.

Activities

Spring time disco with DJ Danny Nutt

• 11am – 1pm, drop in

DJ Danny Nutt from Nutty’s Children’s Parties will be playing a bouncing, bopping soundtrack to the Spring Fair, as well as party games and the Easter bonnet parade.

Circus skills

Roll up, roll up, the spectacular Project Hoop has rolled into town! Get ready to juggle, spin, and twirl as you learn jaw-dropping circus skills that will dazzle and delight!

Fete games

It’s time for the whole family to get competitive. How far can you toss a welly? Who’ll win at the coconut shy? And can you hook that duck?

Easter bonnet parade

• 1-1.30pm
• Free

Hop your way to the Bandstand to take part in the Easter bonnet parade. Bring your own bonnet or eggs-travagant creation to the Fair to show off.

MiniJam

• 2-3pm
• Free

Sing and dance along to live funky nursery rhymes and pop classics with MiniJam on the Bandstand.

Musical storytimes

• 11am, 11.45am, 12.15pm
• Free

Join MiniJam for lively, interactive storytelling and musical game sessions. Sessions last 15 minutes, for four year olds and under.

Percussion fun for little ones

• 11.15am and 12.30pm
• Free

Drop in and play musical instruments, a giant parachute and bubbles with MiniJam. Sessions last 30 minutes, for four year olds and under.

Bubbleology

• 12-3pm, drop in
• Free

Enjoy a bubble show with Kat from Bubbleology. Can you catch one of her supersized bubbles as they float across the Gardens?

Bee tours

• 12pm and 2pm – meet at the Information Point

As flowers pop up all around us in spring, so do bees and other pollinators. Find out how to spot our essential insect friends in an interactive tour of the Horniman Gardens. Suitable for ages 7 and above.

Family crafts

• 12-4pm – Pavilion

Come and make a DIY spring basket. Perfect for walks around the Gardens to collect your spring nature finds. Suitable for ages 3+

Animal Walk

Say hello to Chilli the goat, Eva the Alpaca and Thumper the giant rabbit as you walk between the enclosures for a close encounter with the Animal Walk’s furry and feathered residents.
