Horniman Spring Fair

Join in with seasonal fun and games at the Spring Fair this Easter, with live music, crafty workshops, tours and lots more.

Join us for a day of fun for all the family at our Spring Fair.

Enjoy a day of live music and performances compered by Comedian Jamie Allerton. You can create something crafty in our workshops, march in the Spring Bonnet parade, and enjoy tours from the Horniman Gardens Team.

The day will include:

Live music from New Orleans Jazz Band, the Alvar Tree Frogs

Listen to live music that made the streets of New Orleans a place to dance and party to in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Music that is so hip you’ll want to hop around and dance to it.

Spring Bonnet Parade and Competition

Get crafty at home making a spectacular Easter or Spring bonnet to bring to the fair to show off in the Spring Bonnet Parade. We encourage your bonnet to be made from eco-friendly, recyclable items.

The more eco-friendly, the higher the chance of winning first place when the winner is announced at 3pm!

South London Samba

Young people who love to drum! Listen to energetic music inspired by Latin, Caribbean and African rhythms, blended together with a South London vibe from South London Samba.

Spring Craft Activities

Crafters of all ages are invited to join these free craft workshops, inspired by the season of spring.
