Be part of the biggest transformation in the Horniman’s recent history
We are running a crowdfunder and asking our amazing supporters – and anyone who loves the Horniman – to help us raise the £30,000 we need to reopen our Nature Gallery and bring back our beloved Natural Sciences Collection.
For the first time in more than 60 years, our much-loved gallery will be completely redisplayed, alongside a new Nature Discovery Den.
This overdue development will bring our Natural Sciences specimens to life, making them fit for the future through the latest conservation approaches and a more immersive and interactive experience for our visitors.
Only by feeling connected to nature do we feel empowered to protect it
Visit our crowdfunder page to learn more about what this redevelopment involves and how we hope it will inspire future generations to care for the natural world around them.
When you donate, you can choose from exciting rewards put together by our team, from bespoke artworks to special tours and hands-on workshops, which you can share with friends and family. New rewards will be added throughout the appeal, so do check back and consider making more than one donation!

Thanks to you, our amazing supporters, and funders, including The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we have raised £12.5 million so far for Nature + Love. We need your help to raise £30,000 to help us deliver the project in full.
For almost 125 years the Horniman has inspired generations to care for the natural world.
With your help, we’ll inspire the next generation to protect it.
