Large baker's shop sign made of carved wood featuring inscription of three raised black Chinese characters on a red background. The top two characters read: 'He Wan' [a name] and the large one below reads 'biscuits'. Thus: 'He Wan Biscuits'. Carved open work floral border painted yellow ochre and green. The reverse identical and the whole sign has an iron hanging ring attached at the top.
