coffin cover

Woven coffin cover with a cotton base with a wide weave and a multi-coloured design in raised woollen loops.The design field is divied into three, the central part a brown lattice pattern, enclosing stylised eagle motifs in a variety of colours. At either end is a short panel with a pair of opposing blue bird motifs to either side of a central motif of a tree or vase. Trimmed with a strip of green satin fabric around the border. The cover is lined on the reverse with striped brown and white cotton cloth.
