The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Painted Tibetan Buddhist sacred clay figure depicting a male dancing figure with a third eye. The left arm is lowered, the right arm raised, the skin areas painted dark brown. Wearing a belted red robe edged with blue at sleeve ends and neck opening, which crosses over the chest. Orange scarf looped across the left shoulder and below the right arm. Shoes painted green. The figure stands on a throne edged with lotus petals, painted red and edged alternately in blue and green.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
