The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Large bowl with rounded sides, tall and fluted footring, and two incised rings on upper and lower exterior. The body is a fine, light grey stoneware. The bowl is covered with shiny dark brown iron glaze with iron-rich rusty splashes. The foot rim is unglazed, together with an unglazed stacking ring at the centre to avoid sticking during firing.
