Feather box made of kauri wood, and decorated with intricate carvings. The parallel sets of engraved lines running across the rectangular lid continue seamlessly onto the sides of the box itself. There are two raised lugs at the ends of the box, like the prow and stern on a canoe.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
