There will be tree works in the Gardens this week – please follow signs on site. The lift will be out of service until Friday 28 June while we work on a replacement.
Bow, bamboo ("Kaman"). Indore, Bhil Corps. Only half the shaft is present. It is made of a longitudinal section of bamboo and is notched and pointed at the end. The bow string is also of bamboo and shows an unusual method of joining onto the shaft.[Drawing on card]

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
