Made from straight-grained black palm wood. Half-oval cross section centrally towards the ends. End tapered. Although one end is more damaged than the other there are elaborate plated collars of a split vegetable leaf fibre at both ends and near the three quarter point also. These fibre additions all comprise alternating sections of red and yellow dyed leaf.
