Arrow, shaft made of arrow reed (Gynerium sagittatum, called 'waiwu') squeezed to hold a wood foreshaft, bound with blackened grass fibre. The wooden plug in the head is replaced by a poisoned tip just before shooting. The shaft is undecorated. The flight is of two opposed radial feathers, bound at both ends and at points in between with white cotton thread, decorated with a thick black band above and below the flight, and tufts of smaller feathers. The end is bound with blackened cotton and notched.
