Shadow puppet, tholu bommalata ,one arm articulated at the shoulder and wrist, otherwise in one piece. The figure is probably Rama, the main character in the Ramayana epic. He is wearing breeches, ornaments around his neck, and an elaborate head-dress and is seated next to a green-headed animal. Decorated overall with polychrome pigments and pierced decoration. Mounted on split bamboo stick not part of the acquisition.
