Imzad, spike fiddle. Dome shaped body made from kalabash gourd. Membrane is secured by 11 twisted strands of hide lacing connected to a hide ring around the underside. The lacing continues around the edge of the membrane, where it forms a stiched seam. A thicker piece of twisted leather is connected to the spike at both sides of the body and continues round the back to counteract the tension of the string.
