anklet; armlet

Aluminium anklet or armlet, formed of a cylindrical piece of aluminium, bent around to form a circle. Aluminium bought from Turkana. Place and manufacturer unknown. Worn around arm or ankle for dancing. Worn on the left arm, or both arms, or left ankle or both ankles if the person has more of them. it is worn by Samburu married girls. This one was manufactured in Baragoi, Turkana by a blacksmith.
