Bowed box zither, patent bowed zither violina. In case. A two stringed instrument consisting of a rectangular body with a pair of wrest pins on the face at one end. Long ebony fingerboard with metal frets. Musical scale on each side with notes corresponding to the frets. Arched ebony bridge. Stamped at wrest pins: "By Royal Letter Patent". On the back, printed: "Trade Mark" and "Zither Violina". On the back, stamped: "T.W. Upcott, 26 Edgware Road, Hyde Park, W., Musical Instrument Manufacturer".
