
Two stringed spike lute, possibly a rāmsāgar (ramsagar). The gourd soundchest has a circular opening at the back, and is bisected by the bamboo neck. The projecting spike carries an iron hook serving as a tailpiece. The skin table is attached by brass studs and heart-shaped plates. The neck has alternating bands of brass and brass nails. The two large turned pegs formed with two knobs and coloured red/orange, are set at an acute angle in the neck. Two wire strings. Strings displaced: no bridge present. Small hole in table.
