Portable scale consists of an ivory scale beam (damaged) marked in black dots, a brass pan with four pierced holes along rim but no string attached, the weight is missing. Stored in a fiddle-shaped bamboo case, which is in two halves and hollowed out on the inside, riveted at one end and secured by a wickerwork loop.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
