Casket made of beaten brass standing on four feet, with two handles and a clasp at the front. The surface of the casket is decorated with engraved depictions of humans, probably members of the court, seated on chairs, set within medallions. In the background ae birds and animals including lions, rabbits and a dragon and lion in combat. The openwork lid has a solid engraved border and four side panels with solid cartouches depicting human and animal scenes set in openwork. The top of the lid is also openwork, with a central solid panel with an engraved human in a seated position, with four animals. There may have been a handle on the top. There are chains on both sides which attach the lid to the body. One handle on each side. Hinged fitting at the front for closure.
