stencil (textileworking: dyeing & printing); textile tool

'Old' rectangular adire stencil. The textile tool has been made from a zinc sheet with some remnants of coloured paper attached. This would suggest that the metal might have come from a labelled container. The patterning consists of square areas containing alternatingly a floral motif or 4 rows of ovoid motifs each with small round holes adding detailing. 1 larger section and 7 fragments have become detached from the stencil.
