Whaletooth necklace of 28 pieces, each tapering to a curved point and pierced through the thick end. The pieces bear evidence of having become unstrung at some point, as the string is modern and the lengths of the teeth ought to increase towards the centre, which is only achieved rather irregularly here.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
