One of a set of three ‘bronze’ water pots, in metal, in Bhojpuri style, made by K. Shakya of Taksar village near Bhojpur. All with wide globular bodies, a high neck and fine finish. This is a water container, amkhora, with an inscription on the base, and band of floral decoration at the shoulder. The base of the pot is round, with a bulbous body and ridges around the neck. The rim flares outwards.
