Ganesa

Copper figure depicting Ganesha seated on a square cushion with an integral four-footed square pedestal. It is wearing a panelled crown, topped by a fan shape, and has four arms, the top pair cut off below the wrist. At the back the cushion extends into a support with two holes (possibly for a nimbus). Figure of a small rat on the right-hand side of the pedestal. Made from copper with incised detailing.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
