print (art)

Limited edition print, numbered 41/50, of an acrylic painting in green blue, purple, yellow, and red on an orange background. It is titled 'Independence celebration'. The painting depicts Papua New Guinea through an abstract metaphor, filling in the geographical spaces of the land on a map with a range of motifs. The mainland is represented possibly as an abstracted guitar, inside and outside of which dance a man and woman in shorts and headdresses. The various peninsulas and outlying island groups are represented by flowers and flags.
