Noh mask. Yamamba. This is exclusively used for the title role of Yamamba. Yamamba is an energetic mountain spirit, who lives in the deep mountains, runs from ridge to ridge, and crosses vallerys, rejoicing over the changing beauty of the four seasons. Even though she is an elderly woman, she has quite a powerful face with rough eyebrows rising upward, open eyes and exposed teeth. She has a beige complexion with eyebrows and hair picked out in separate strands.
