Pair of bridal false sleeves, white gauze with sliver floral inlay. The border along the wrists is of chain stitch embroidery of flowers with 6 or 7 petals in pink, gold, brown and purple bordered with black arabesques of circles, and on edging strip of tablet weave in red, green, gold and blue to match the veil. The white cotton backing shows signs of repeated use. Locally made. Perhaps Uzbek but could be Tadjik; the style of embroidery increasingly suggesting a Tajik provenance, but requires further research. See bride’s veil 1922.214.171.1240mm x 198mm
