



Stove for cooking Chinese hot pot, usually placed at the centre of the dining table. It consists an iron deep bowl for simmering broth and ingredients were cooked there, surrounding a central copper barrel-shaped chimney, which is connected to the iron pedestal base of the hearth, where burning hot charcoals were placed. A brass ring handle with 'ruyi'-shaped plaque below with engraved design, fitted on either side of the bowl. It is covered with an iron lid with an circular opening at the centre, surrounded by four brass bosses with engraved decoration and fitted with an overhead loop handle.
