Ship's figurehead from the battleship Mars, showing a bearded male, built at Deptford, London. Made from thick planks fixed together and carved. The arms and the body below the chest are missing. Repainted recently in the original colours, the principal being blue and gilt. Ht 3' 7"; Wdth: 2' 6"; Dpth: 1' 4 1/2".
