The teeth are composed of a mixture of species; there are perhaps four teeth from an immature sperm whale, one halved larger whale tooth, three to five dugong teeth (one halved), and one carved piece of ivory in the shape of a whale tooth of indeterminate species.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
