Hitimanga, end-blown trumpet. A conical pipe in two sections, one of white metal and the other of copper, with white metal ferrules with embossed decoration covering the joints between the sections. The brass bell is in the form of the horned head of a makara sea dragon. A obliquely grooved boss is sited between the two lower ferrules. A round eyelet for a strap is positioned at the back of the dragon's neck. The proximal end terminates in an integral copper mouthpiece, which has a wide rim and a shallow cup.
