Stage of manufacture in the production of a glove puppet. Third stage of manufacture. First a model of the head is made in Plastolene. From this a two-piece mould of gypsum (plaster of paris) is made. 2001.195.2 (this object) represents the next stage where paper and glue are pressed into the two gypsum moulds in alternate layers. (2001.195.1 is the paper and glue form which resulted from pressing these materials into the other gypsum mould, of the back of the head.) This papier mache shape is taken from the gypsum mould of the face.
