Sarasvati vina, lute, made predominantly from wood with a papier maché upper resonator. There are bands of ivory decorating the neck, and roses of ivory decorated with red and black pigment over the two soundholes. There are four main strings and three drones, pegged from the side of the neck. 24 frets. The scroll terminates in a yali's head formed from gilded wood. Bar to tail piece is nickel plated brass
