The outer bands closest to the panel alternate between blue and white striped, and narrower single colour bands in red, green, yellow, blue and white. The first sequence contains an ikat band of diagonals. The striped bands are woven using complementary warp. In the outer sequences the single coloured bands become wider, and finally replace the striped bands completely.
