A plaited strip runs around the bottom of the basket and holds the twisted handles in place. There are red threads tied to one of the handles. The larger lid is made of plaited lontar palm leaves. It has a squarish base, with a ridge. The upper part is a short cylinder. The small lid is made of plaited lontar palm leaf. It has a circular base and is finished with a square ridged top.
