On Weds 29 and Thurs 30 March, the Butterfly House, Animal Walk, Bandstand Terrace, and Horniman Drive gates and path will be closed for resurfacing works. Blue Badge parking is closed all week. Please follow signs on site.
We strongly advise visitors to book tickets in advance to avoid queuing, due to reduced till points at the Ticket Desk.
Woven basket, almost conical in shape, of blue, red, green, and beige-coloured plant fibres. The basket is suspended in a harness of leather straps, decorated with triple rows of white cowrie shells; and thongs of leather with four shells threaded onto the end of each. There is also a secondary wide ring of basket work within the straps.
