Bassoon. Stained pearwood with brass keys, ferrules and crook. Nine keys, well made and shouldered to long base saddles. They have circular flat flaps and fabric pads. Key-plates of the closed keys soldered levers. String lapped tenons. Sling hook on butt joint. Bell stamped: BILTON/LONDON; Long joint and butt joint stamped: 1/BILTON/LONDON; An emblem of a unicorn's head appears beneath each inscription.
