Biniou, bagpipe. Chanter, blow pipe and drone in two joints. Bag, stock and any other drones missing. Boxwood with one ivory ferrule on chanter and pewter ferrules on lower drone joint. The biniou is a style of bagpipe particular to Brittany. This is an example of the original 'small' style of biniou, which has now almost completely died out.
