Tubular skirt made from tabby-woven silk textile decorated with fine paired vertical stripes alternating with wider stripes containing weft ikat. The paired stripes alternate between purple and green. The ikat stripes contain short diagonals and finer diagonals created by short dashes in orange on a red ground. To either side of the central vertical seam are wider stripes. These show green diagonals on purple on one side, and orange diagonals on purple on the other due to the weave. One selvedge has been folded over twice, the other only once.
