The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Cavalry trumpet in E flat. Brass tubing with solder joins. Embossed spiral designs on ferrules and mouthpipe. Bell garland with similar embossed designs. Mouthpiece missing. Emblem of a lion holding a sword stamped on bell. The letters EB appear in gothic script on a cartouche on the bell garland immediately below the lion motif.
