On Weds 29 and Thurs 20 March, the Butterfly House, Animal Walk, Blue Badge Parking, Bandstand Terrace and Horniman Drive gates and path will be closed for resurfacing works. Please follow signs on site.
We strongly advise visitors to book tickets in advance to avoid queuing, due to reduced till points at the Ticket Desk.
Length of woven fabric. Maroon cotton ground weave with two sections patterned in bands of multi-coloured supplementary weft motifs including birds on horseback, antrhopomorphic figures on horseback, lozenge shapes on horseback, elephants and rows of stars. These two sections divided from one another by a small band where no weft has been inserted. About a third of the cloth is plain weave, with no decoration.
