Lid for a small, square box made of zinc alloy, which is incomplete. The lid has been coloured black with copper sulphate, engraved with a design of interlocking crosses, and inlaid with silver. Two holes have been drilled in the back edge of the lid for a hinge attachment. This represents the fifth stage in the manufacture of Bidri ware.
