A child's exercise book, with a khaki/grey/red/yellow/blue marbled cover. Contenets are chiefly handwriting exercises dated 1849 and 1850, with some French sentences and some 'lines' e.g. ''Govern your temper'. On one page, dated September 24th 1849, Frederic Pincott has written his name and his age as 13 3/4. The exercises bear dates ranging from August 1849 to August 1850.
