
Stylophone, miniature monophonic analogue synthesizer, made in England between 1968 and 1975. The top casing is black plastic with a silver coloured grille over the speaker unit bearing the word ‘Stylophone’ in relief, the base is white plastic stamped ‘MADE IN ENGLAND/WORLD PATENT PENDING’. A strip of metal engraved with key shapes and note names constitutes the ‘keyboard’, with a compass of one and a half octaves. Power control, controls for vibrato and tuning, and jack socket with AMPLIFIER OUTPUT stamped beneath it. With black plastic stylus that makes an electronic contact and completes a circuit, activating the oscillator that generates the sound. In cardboard box (please dispose of box).
