One of a pair of boots or Muchacs made by Chipawyan women in the North of Saskatchewan, Canada, 1962. Moose hide soles with cream fabric uppers and legs, red patches at the ankles, and a band of fur around the legs just above the ankles. The cream fabric is embroidered with pink and purple flowers on the uppers and legs. There are leather laces at the tops of the feet, and pink and green braided drawstrings terminating in tassels around the tops of the legs.
