A horse model, Japan. Made of carved wood painted chiefly black with a green saddle, blue along top of neck and muzzle, below which hangs a bell. Upright tail of vegetal fibre, mane of white feather, yellow braided breast band with tassels and a pair of ribbons stretched across the forehead hang to either side.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
